Chapter 1
ElvenMyst,Home of Elf Clan.Home of Joy..Home of Silly...
Spring had just started and the snow had melted.The people of Elf Clan enjoys life coming back after a cold winter.People arrange festivities in the sandbox building and dancing.Oona is very happy the Sun is back.She twirls around in the sandbox with Snoots and her brother Doc."Oona luvs da sun ! Oona is gonna kiss it ! Ya lads do wutever ya wants,Oona busy sunkissin heeee " she says and lays down in the grass.Snoots and Doc don't seem to share the same passion as Oona for the Sun,they rather do stuff that lads like to do.Like driving bumper cars or something.
Oona kisses the sun, Doc and Snoots is driving bumper cars around in the sandbox the whole day.They're all happy that spring has arrived.
The evening comes and the sun sets.
In the distance they can hear Bryster shout: "The Thirsty Dragon is open !!"They all rush to the tavern.All eager to tell Bryster of the great day they had.The Thirsty Dragon is a meeting place for all Elf Clanners and wanderers.People share great stories here,bonds with friends and find new ones.Snoots,Doc and Oona runs into the tavern,talking loud and laugh."Bry,da Sun is backs !" Oona shouts."I good bumper car driver ! I good crashin Doc's car !" Snoots shouts."I'm good crasher too !" Doc says."How proud you must be..." Bry says and polishes a glass or two."Oh,yes I very proud.Good crasher !" Snoots says with a big grin and jumps up on the bartop."I wants rum ! Bry has rum? Bry gives me rum?" Bry sighs."And this day started so well...."
Snoots jumps up and down on the bartop shouting: "Rum ! Rum! Rum!" Bry points a finger at Snoots and says: "Dwagons off the bartop,please !" Snoots stops jumping and looks at Bry and you can tell that the dwagon's brain is working on something.He eyes the cookiejar next to him on the bartop.He looks at Bry again,and then the cookiejar.Then he grabs it and runs laughing.
"Muhahawhahahahaha " Bry jumps over the bartop and gets his pointy stick."Snoots !" he shouts "These cookies are for the guests !" Everybody in the tavern is watching."I a guest..." Snoots says.Then he pauses and says: " I a good guest.I can share" He jumps up on the fireplace where he knows Bry can't get to him.
He opens the cookiejar,sticks his muzzle in it,sniffs and smiles.He loves cookies.He sticks a paw in it and tosses a cookie at Oona."Thankies,Snoots !" Then he tosses one for Doc.And for another guest,and then another guest.They all catches cookies."I good guest.I share" Snoots says and eats a cookie."That's it ! You come down here right now!" Bry shouts. Snoots looks puzzled."Wot?! Wot I do?" he asks.Bry starts gettin chairs and stocks them on top of eachother.Snoots jumps down and the chase is on.Bry chases Snoots around the tavern.Everybody laughing.This is often seen in the tavern.The usual entertainment.Oona giggles and gets behind the bartop to get herself a wootnog.She gets one for her brother and cousin as well.
The three of them relaxes watching Bry chasing Snoots.This is big fun for them.Oona feels at home with her family and friends.Oona hears a sound and looks at the door. Someone is there.Someone tall..Wearing a black cape.Oona forgets about Bry and Snoots.Just looking at the stranger.The stranger sits down next to Oona. "Vendui,stranger" Oona says.The stranger don't reply.Oona looks under the hood and sees an old wrinkled face."You love the Sun" the stranger says."Oh,yes,Oona does.Oona kisses it all da time." she says smiling."The Sun needs you" Oona looks at the stranger."Err,wut ya means?" she asks.Oona is very puzzled by this stranger."Bad things are coming." the stranger says.The stranger's wrinkled dry warm hands touches Oona's and gives her a turqoise stone."Keep this,friend of the Sun."
Then the stranger leaves.She looks at the stone.It's smooth,shiny and very beautiful.
In the stone she sees the sea and the Merpeople.They look worried. "Hey,sis,did ya sees wot Snoots just did?" Doc says and nudges her. "Wut?" Oona says and looks up.Oona sees Bry all wet and Snoots sitting on top of the shelf in the bar with a bucket laughing.She looks at the stone again,but now it's just turqoise,shiny and smooth.Oona hears people laughing."Ya ok,sis?" Doc asks."Yes,bro," Oona says."Did ya sees da dark hooded stranger?" Doc looks at her."Wot stranger? I'm sorry sis,I was watching Bry and Snoots."
Oona jumps down from the chair.Back home in the treehouse she looks at the stone again.She sees the Sun is turning blue and the rays don't reach the bottom of the sea.She gets startled by her brother and cousin entering."Ya ok,sis? Why ya so quiet?" Doc says.Oona tells her brother and cousin about the stranger and the turqoise stone."It shows images,"she says, "Oona thinks it shows images of da future." Aynad comes in and shows them springflowers she picked.She picks the flowers from her basket and puts them in little vases with water."Oona will go see Koni tomorrow.She knows wut dis stone is." Oona says.
Chapter 2
The morning after,Oona walks up to Koni's castle.She opens the door and walks in.She can't see Koni,but she can hear that there is someone upstairs.She walks upstairs and sees Koni's owl,Ozzy.He flies down from his perch and lands on Oona's shoulder.He knows Oona has a treat for him,she always has.Oona goes through her pockets and gives him a mouse.Ozzy is happy and flies away with the mouse and lands on the top of the bookshelf.Pulls out a book to reveal Koni's hidden stack of candy and cookies.Oona picks up the book.
Koni has many books in her library and Oona knows she has a lot of knowledge.This book is about magic
stones and charm rocks.Just what Oona needs.She opens the book and looks at the pictures.Of course,it's written in High Elven.Oona knows the language,but can't read it.Oona climbs up on the shelf with Ozzy and grabs some candy."Ya sees any stranger in are lands,Ozzy?" Oona asks.The owl hoots and flies to the window.He taps on the glass.She sees that it's raining outside.
Oona can talk with the animals.Ozzy tells her:(Stranger..After Sun comes rain).Oona knows that it's not only sunny days during spring and summer.Ozzy flies back and finishes his mouse.Oona pets the owl."Vendui" Oona and Ozzy looks down to see who's there.Ozzy flies down and lands on Koni's shoulder."What are you two up to?" she says."Nuthin !" Oona says and jumps down from the bookshelf.Koni smiles and sees the cookie
crumbs on the floor."Nothing,eh?" she says and looks at Oona.
"Oona done nuthin !"she says. "It was all Ozzy !" she says and points at the owl."Waaark!"(Tell a tale!) Oona looks down."Awwies,sorry,Ozzy." The owl sulks,flies to his perch and cleans his feathers."It's ok" Koni says.The High Elf looks at the book Oona is holding."You want to borrow that book?" she asks. "Yeah,Oona would if Oona could reads it..." She hands Koni the book."Oh,the ancient language." Koni smiles and sits by the couch.She opens the book and tells Oona to come sit with her.Oona gets comfy in the couch
with a pillow and Ozzy lands on her head.
Koni reads: "The guide to the magic stones and charm rocks" Oona goes through her pockets and
finds the turqoise stone.She shows it to Koni."Oooh,it's a Moonstone!" she gasps. "Where
did you get that?" Oona tells Koni of the stranger."Stranger gives dis to Oona." Ozzy flaps
his wings."Waaark!"(Stranger!) Koni reads from the book that this stone can show the past
and the future and that it also has other unknown hidden powers."Oona sees da Merpeeps in
it! And da sea! And da Merpeeps seems worried..." Koni tells Oona that she should see the Mers.
Chapter 3
Oona walks through the sandbox to the sea.She sees a dolphin swimming and spashing water.She puts two fingers in her mouth and whistles.The dolphin swims over to her.(You called?) Oona smiles at the dolphin and gives him a fish she had in her pocket."Yes,Oona seeks the Mers." she says.The dolphin eats the fish,squeaks and dives.She's standing there for some time,wondering if the dolphin will come back.She sits down and waits.The dolphin comes back with a mermaid Oona knows."Chole ! How is ya?" The Mermaid looks sad."Oona,something is wrong..." she says. "Wut is it?" Chole creates an oval bubble and hands it to Oona."Wear this." Oona wears it and jumps into the water."I will show you." she says.Oona grabs the dolphins backfin and dives after Chole.
Oona sees the bottom of the sea.It's beautiful blue,but something is not right.Where are all the plants? Chole tells Oona that the plants died.It gets darker the deeper they get.
Oona hears Chole calling.A school of luminous fish appears."The Sun rays used to reach all the way to the bottom before,but now we need the luminous fish to be able to see." Chole explains.Just like Oona had seen in the turqoise stone.
Chole tells Oona of a light that is hidden in the bottom of the castle.But they can't open the door.It's locked and they don't have the key.She says someone stole it.Oona wonders who stole it,but Chole don't know.She shows Oona the locked door.It's white with golden carvings on it.It looks like an egg with dragonfly wings."Wut dis pic means?" Oona asks.
"It shows a picture of Sid'handarin. The key." Oona had never heard of this before."We knows it was a landwalker that took it." Oona tells Chole she will look for it."If you need help,you can ask the Soothsayer.She lives in the Moondust realm."
When Oona gets back on land,she sees the Sun is turning blue."Oh noes !Just like the stone showed !" Oona looks at the stone.She sees a dark place.Big dense trees and marshies.And moving shadows.Oona needs directions.She goes to see Wayfinder at his castle.He's the oldest Oona knows.A High Elf that lives for 2500 years.Oona often disagrees with him and his old ways,but sometimes Oona takes his advices.Wayfinder travels alot and is seldom seen in Elf Clan lands.Oona is sure he knows where Moondust is.She gets to his castle and enters.She is met by Koni and the other Greeters.
They all seem very worried and quiet.They are blocking the way from the rest of the room.Oona tries to see what they are looking at.Oona moves through the little crowd.Some also move so Oona can pass.And then she sees..Wayfinder laying on a bed.He's pale and don't look too well."Wut's wrong wif Wayfinder?" Oona asks.She looks up at Koni."Wayfinder is sick." Oona thinks of what the stranger said: "Bad things are coming." She looks at Wayfinder.It looks like he's sleeping."Wut ya means sick?When dis happens?" Oona says."It just happened.We don't know why he is sick.."
"Wayfinder,Oona needies to go to da Moondust realm..." Wayfinder turns in the bed,opens his eyes and looks at Oona."Koni,show Oona the maps in the library...I think...I have maps of the Moondust realm..." he whispers. Oona is about to go with Koni to the library when Wayfinder pats her on her shoulder." Take Snoots with you." Oona looks at Wayfinder."Wut?! Why Snoots? Him poots and picks him's nose...." Wayfinder looks at her and says: "You will take Snoots with you..." Oona sighs."Ok,Wayfinder.." Snoots looks up at Oona."I help.I good helpings" Oona sighs again."Sure ya is,Snoots..."
Oona gets the maps and gets ready for the journey to the Moondust realm.
