Chapter 10
The Troggs don't seem to want to leave the cottage.Snoots and Oona can't pass it,cause they might see them.Then finally one of the Troggs leaves and dissapears in the dark.Oona tells Ozzy to scouts ahead.Ozzy flies away.He comes back and lands on Oona's head."Waark!"(Clear) "Ozzy says it ok ahead.Come on,we sneak past cottage."she whispers."Waark!" Ozzy shreaks.Oona feels someone breathing in her neck.She turns around and looks straight into a pair of red glowy eyes.She screams."Aahh,I has supergood hearin!"
Snoots says and covers his ears.
The brown-skinned Trogg lashes at them,they dodge it and starts running in the mud.Oona sees a tree jumps on it and starts climbing it.The Trogg follows her.They hear his extra set of claws chings as he sticks them into the tree climbing.Snoots stops running and sees the Trogg move closer to Oona.She keeps climbing the tree."Oona,wait here.I be right backs." Snoots says."Wut?!Where ya goin?" Oona cries.Snoots runs away.Ozzy shreaks and pecks the Trogg's head.He doesn't seem to care much and waves the owl away with one hand.This makes the Trogg slide down from the tree a bit,but he keeps climbing.
The Trogg is hissing and growling,getting closer to Oona.Oona is terrified and hopes Snoots will come back soon."Oh,snap!" she shouts.She wonders if Snoots for once got scared and bailed.She keeps climbing and is now at the top of the tree.She sees blue Sunrays peeking through the leaves.She feels the tree is shaking as the Trogg comes closer.Her mouth gets dry.She starts crying and then she hears someone running in the mud.It's Snoots coming back with another Trogg running behind him."Ahh,Snoots ya comes backs ! " she shouts and smiles "I remembers Schlitz says two Troggies better dan one" Snoots says and runs around the tree.
"Dat not wut him says"Oona says. "No,but is."The Trogg follows him and spots Oona in the tree.He stops running.They hear both of the Troggs growling.The brown-skinned Trogg jumps down from the tree.They hiss at eachother and starts fighting.Oona starts climbing down from the tree."Let's go." Snoots says.In the back they can hear the Troggs growl and lash at eachother.Shouting something in their language.The Troggs growls and hisses echoes around them.Snoots and Oona walks away.Ozzy scouts ahead for them and now they know they are not too far away from the Hermit's hut.
They hear a woosh sound and Oona feels pain.She has an arrow in her upper arm."Woah!Where dat comes from?"They see Idol looking objects fire arrows.Oona feels tired.Snoots supports Oona while they move on.They're dodging arrows and stumbles through the mud.Finally,they reach the Hermit's hut.They get inside.No one is home.Oona sits on a bed and Snoots looks at the arrow."Oona is tired...."she lays down and Ozzy lands on her head.The door opens.An old looking elf comes in."Wot ya doin in here?? No one ever tells ya it rude to walks into other peoples howses?? Hmm??"Snoots and Oona looks puzzled at the old Elf."Huh?" Snoots says.
Chapter 11
Snoots looks at the Hermit and says: No,nobody tells us dat before." In Elf Clan lands Snoots and Oona are used to that they can just walk into someone's house and that the house owner is happy to get visitors."Wot dis arrow do?"Snoots asks."It maked her sleepy".The Hermit walks over and looks at Oona."Dey keeps da Troggs away." he says."Ok..But Oona not well.."
"She will be,it just makes her sleep" he says and removes the arrow.He cleans her wound and wraps it with green leafs."Why you comes here?" Oona sits up in the bed and rubs her head.
"How you feelin,Oona?" "Tired...Head hurts.." she says."Ok,we camps here fer tonite."Snoots says."Wot?"the Hermit says."Yeah,it nite,Oona sleepy..I sleepy and hungry."
"You not campin here !" the Hermit shouts."Yes,we is."Snoots says and jumps in the bed with his backback.The Hermit looks at them.Snoots gets one of Moontan's delicous buns and starts eating."Dis meh home!You not welcome here." The Hermit gets a stick."Look,oldie.."Snoots says."We walks all day in dis place to finds you.Now we tired!" The Hermit is about to strike and Snoots shows his teeth."I nice Dwagon..Really..."Snoots says and grins.The Hermit puts down his stick."You's lookin fer meh?" he asks."Yeah,we is" The Hermit walks over to his workbench and pours some black powder into a pot.
Snoots gets curious."Wot you got dere?" "Dat's meh blastin powder.I get it from meh mines."Ah,interestin..."Snoots says.Everyone that knows Snoots knows that he likes big booms.
"Why you comes here?" the Hermit asks again.Snoots looks at Oona and sees that she's very tired."Tell you wot,why dun we sleeps and we tells you all about it tomorrow?" "You here fer meh blastin powder,no?" the Hermit asks."Yes..No !" Snoots says."But we can sure uses sum." Snoots smiles.The Hermit pauses and looks at the chubby little Dwagon.Snoots smiles and shows his teeth again."Right!" the Hermit says."We can talks about it tomorrow."
Snoots jumps back into the bed.The Hermit sits in his chair and watch Snoots.Snoots is watching the Hermit.They stare at eachother for a long time.Then the Hermit looks away for a second at his blasting pots."Hah! I wins !"Snoots shouts."Wins wot?"the Hermit asks."I stares da longest time." Snoots says proud."Oy..."the Hermit says and looks at the Dwagon.The Hermit keeps looking at Snoots.He does not trust him near his blasting pots.He knows Snoots wants them.But eventually he gets tired and falls asleep in his chair.
"Snoots?" Oona says."Yes?" "Oona very thirsty..." Snoots gives her a mug of Yakow milk.Moontan gave them alot of food and drinks for their journey."I thinks da Hermit knows who dis Prawfist is" Snoots says.On the wall they see a pair of those extra set of claws the Troggs wear and some spears.Next to the claws,they see a painting of a large Trogg wearing feathers and leather."Dat looks like a cheif,right?" Snoots says.Oona nods and yawns.
The Hermit is fast asleep,and soon,they fall asleep also.
Ozzy wakes them up in the morning.Oona feels better and finds some food in her backpack.They eat breakfast.The Hermit is still asleep in his chair.Oona looks a the stone.
She sees a mountain,what looks like a big circle with rocks and twigs and some large eggs.She sees something moving and then a large set of teeths."Wot's dat?" Snoots says and looks at the stone." Oona not sure..."Snoots touches his teeth."Ya countin teeth?" Oona asks.
"Not any more" Snoots says."But dose teefs in da stone dere,looks like mine"The Hermit is waking up and makes himself some tea.
"Good mornin !" Snoots and Oona shouts.The Hermit ignores them and continous working with his blasting pots.Oona thinks he's not very friendly and wonders if Rose was right,that he won't help them."Uumm..Oona is lookin fer da Sid'handarin...Ya knows where it is?" The Hermit looks at her and frowns.He walks to his teapot,pours tea in a cup and sits down in his chair.Snoots and Oona looks at eachother and raises eyebrows.They wonder if he will ever answer that question.The Hermit drinks some tea and eats a piece of some dry bread." I dunno wot dat is...." he says and breaks the silence.
"Really?"Snoots says."We has info dat says you do,so spit it out" The Hermit looks at them."Is dat so..?" he says."Yes,sumone tells us ya knows about it." "OK,we go all da way here to see you fer dis,now you tells us about it so we can gibs it backs to Mers !" The Hermit looks surprised."Da Mers?" "Ok,you can stop pretendin you knows nuthin now."Snoots says."I knows da Mers,"the Hermit says.He tells them that years ago he used to travel a lot,explore.He tells them he once were in ElvenMyst and dived in the ocean.He collected many treasures from the sea.On one of the walls in the hut,they see some shells,clams and on a bench,they see jewels and other beautiful colored stones.
He tells them he found all of this in the ocean."Wut about da Sid'handarin? Oona asks."I still dunno wot dat is..." the Hermit says."Ok,wut else ya finds?" Oona gets the stone from her pocket.It's smooth,shiny and turqoise."Oona is gonna tries sumthin.." She gets out of the bed,walks over to the Hermit and says:"Stone,please show us da Sid'handarin !" The stone starts to glow.The hut is filled with turqoise and white light.An Image of the Sid'handarin appears."Woohoo !" Oona shouts and jumps."It worked heeee " Oona is very excited."Oohh ! Dat darn Prawfist !"the Hermit shouts.Snoots and Oona looks at him."Dat Prawfist on da picture?" Snoots asks.The Hermit nods."Him da Troggs cheif.Him takes it." "Oh,noes !" Oona says.
"I dun has a whole lot of lights here,I used dat fer light..It glows at nite" the Hermit explains. "It was a nice light outside da hut..Den one nite,one of dem Troggs comes and takes it." "We needs it fer da Mers so dey can opens dat door and we can has da light dat in dere." Oona says." You has to fight Prawfist fer it" the Hermit says."Wut ya means fight hims?" Oona looks worried."You know,I could helps..."the Hermit starts."But den you has to helps me also..""Yes?" Snoots says."If we helps you,we get ka-booms?" "Heh.." "Oona dun wanna fights Prawfist.." she says and sits back in the bed.Ozzy flies from her head to the window.
"Ok..If you help me get sum Blackwings Eggs from da mountain up ahead here,I give you sum blastin pots,eh..Wot you says?" "Oh,no,"Oona says."No Blackwings..." "Yeah,ok..no blastin pots." "Oona.."Snoots starts."Less not be hasty here..." "Meh !" Oona likes all kinds of animals,but she's not so fond of the Blackwings.These Dragons are not that kind and sweet.And stealing eggs from a Blackwing Dragon's nest is not what she had in mind."Oona no likee Blackwings..." "Uuum,Oona.." "Right,I go outside and checks on meh turrets.." The Hermit leaves.Oona starts crying."Ohh!..Umm....err..Dere dere.." Snoots says and pats her on the shoulder."It ok..I here..I big Dwagon !"
"Oona dun wanna fights Prawfist and Oona dun wanna steals Blackwing Dragon eggs." "Now,see,it ok,Oona..I here..I fix it."Snoots says and smiles."Here is wot we do..I get da eggs..Den we gets blastin pots and boom,we takes da Sindarin thingy and Prawfist helm." Snoots smiles."Ya thinks it dat easy?" Oona asks.Snoots nods."I here all da time.You not has to fights Prawfist." "Ok,Snoots.."she says."Less go get da eggs."They get out of the hut and meets the Hermit outside."So,wot you needs eggs fer? Scrambeled eggs?"Snoots asks.The Hermit looks at him."No.Just dun breaks any of dems." "Okies,we ready.Where we go?"
The Hermit point in the direction."Up da hill here,you get to a cave.Dis cave ends into a garden wif da Tree of Bliss.Behind it is da Mountain of OtiLuke.Da nestin area is up in dat mountain."he says.Oona really don't want to do this,but follows Snoots up the hill.They walk and reach a cave.Oona send Ozzy in to scout ahead."Waark!"(Clear)."Ozzy says da cave is clear.." Oona says and they walk in.At the end of the cave they see a garden with a large beautiful tree.The leafs are bright green and it blossoms in blue,red,purple,yellow and orange.They walk through the garden.When they walk through the tiny bushes, tiny colourful
butterflies appears."It's beautiful...." Oona says.
"Yeah is"Snoots says.They reach the Mountain of OtiLuke and looks up.It's a tall mountain.They start climbing it.They hear a shreak and look in the direction it came from.They see a lonely Blackwing up in the sky."Oona so dun wanna do dis.."she cries."Dun worry,it will be ok." he smiles.They keep climbing and up further ahead,they see the nesting area.
Chapter 12
At the nesting area,the mountain seems to flatten out some.They see many nests with huge eggs on the ground and they are all guarded."Ok,now wut?" Oona whispers."Hmm...." Snoots is thinking."How we suppose to gets da eggs when dey layin on dems?" "Maybe if one flies away...?"Snoots says. "Da udders still dere and dey sees us..." "Dun worry,I get da eggs"Snoots says and jumps down to the flat area.He walks to one of the nests.The Blackwing there ignores him.Snoots looks at the Blackwing and then he jumps into the nest.He grabs an egg and
starts to pull it out of the nest.The Blackwing looks at him and pushes him away.Snoots gets up and into the nest again.He grabs an egg and tries to pull it out.
The Blackwing pushes him away again.She seems to get a little annoyed by the little Dwagon now.Snoots gets up again and grabs an egg.She gets up, folds out her wings and shrieks."Uh oh !" Oona covers her eyes.Snoots gets the egg and walks with it.The other Blackwings react too now.Oona sees between her fingers that all the Blackwings are moving towards Snoots."Oh noes !" Oona is terrified.They all left their nests now.Snoots walks proud with his egg towards Oona.Oona sneaks down the little path on the ledge.At the end of it,she sees that she is
behind the nesting area and the Blackwings moving in on Snoots.She's not sure what's going to happen.She understands they want the egg back.
She gets an idea.Now that they're looking away,she glides down to the nesting area.She gets into a nest,grabs an egg and pushes it over the cliff.She grabs another egg,and pushes that one over the cliff too.She empties the nest and moves to the next.She keeps pushing eggs over the cliff.A Blackwing senses this and turns around to see what Oona is doing.She shrieks and pounces towards Oona.The Blackwing roars and all Oona sees is a big mouth and teeth.Oona screams.All the Blackwings eyes Oona.Ozzy leaves her head and starts pecking the
Blackwing on the head.Snoots pushes the egg he had over the cliff."Less push all da eggs over
da cliff!" Snoots says and moves to another nest."Oona?"Oona stands frozen.
Snoots runs over to her,grabs her hand and makes her follow him to a nest."Dey freaks out when we makes egg avalanche !" he says. "Oona wanna go home now !" "Ok,push da eggs and den we go home."Snoots smiles."You can do it!" Oona shakes her head."Oona,I needs yer help.How I pushes all da eggs all by me onesies?It da ultimate Pixie prank!"Snoots says."Really?" "Of course it is."Snoots smiles. Oona is scared,but she understands she has to help him."Go to dat one on da end !" Snoots says.She runs to it and starts pushing eggs.Snoots runs to another nest and push eggs.The Blackwings gets confused.They are not sure who they are going to get
now.Ozzy flies around hooting.Huge eggs rolling down the mountain.
The Blackwings looks at Snoots pushing down eggs and runs to get him.They turn around to see Oona pushing down eggs,they are about to get her,but then they stop and want to get Snoots.They're confused.They don't know who to get.Snoots and Oona are running around the nests pushing eggs down the cliff.Some of the Blackwings starts flying.They keep pushing down eggs and one Blackwings eyes Oona.She pounces Oona.Oona slides and falls of the cliff.She grabs the ledge."Snoots !"Snoots Looks up and runs over to Oona."Oona,shimmy over dere and glide down to dat ledge !"Oona does what Snoots says,lands safely on the ledge and pulls herself up.She looks up at Snoots,then she slides."Woah !" she shouts.Snoots glides down and slides with her.
They slide all the way down from the mountain.Down at the bottom,they see the eggs.Further away,they see Blackwings collecting eggs and fly up with them."Dey very big eggs,Snoots..How we gonna gets dems wif us?" she asks."Hmmm..." "We can fit one egg in backpack" Oona says."Him wanteds more dan two eggs."They put one egg each in their backpacks."Oona can carry one egg..We can gives him 4 eggs.." Snoots nods.They walk back to the Tree of Bliss.Through the little garden and back to the cave.Oona tells Ozzy to scout ahead.Ozzy comes back."Waark!"(Clear) They walk through the cave back to the Hermit's hut.
They enter the hut and put the eggs down by his work bench.The Hermit is still out."Wut ya thinks him wants da eggs fer,Snoots?" Oona asks.Snoots shrugs."Dunno" They sit down on the bed open their backpacks and get something to eat.They talk about the experience they just had and Oona is very proud she managed to do it.She takes a bite of one of Moontan's buns and smiles.The door opens and the Hermit comes in.He puts the kettle on and sits down in his chair."We got da eggs."Snoots says chewing on a bun.Hermit looks at the Dwagon.Snoots is happy drinking Yakow milk and smacks his lips.He smiles with a blue mustache,hums and wiggles.He grabs another bun.Dwagon is enjoying his meal and the Hermit get himself a cup of tea.
The Hermit sees the eggs and smiles."Wut ya needs da eggs fer?" Oona asks."Questions like dat not good dis time of day.." the Hermit replies."Huh? Oona looks puzzled at the Hermit.Snoots jumps down from the bed and walks over to the Hermit."I want ka- booms now" he says and smiles."When you two leavin?" the Hermit says."As soon as we gets ka-booms"Snoots says.The Hermit put the eggs in a nest he made under his workbench.Snoots and Oona watches the Hermit."We gets ka-booms now?" Snoots asks.The Hermit sits down in his chair again and drink his tea.
